Tell Rep. Kyrsten Sinema to Co-Sponsor Bipartisan Background Checks Bill

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09) still hasn't co-sponsored H.R. 4240, the federal bipartisan bill that would require criminal background checks on all commercial gun sales.

Now, we need leadership to help reduce gun violence: Send a message asking Rep. Sinema to show her leadership on preventing gun violence by co-sponsoring H.R. 4240 to require background checks on all commercial gun sales.

On March 24, tens of thousands of Arizonans participated in March for Our Lives events across our state. We marched with huge crowds in Phoenix and Tucson; we marched in our hometowns like Payson and Nogales and Flagstaff and at a dozen other marches. Arizonans in all kinds of communities sent a clear message that we need our lawmakers to take action to prevent gun violence.

Right now, you have a chance to take action by supporting the bipartisan H.R. 4240, a critical piece of legislation that would require criminal background checks for all commercial gun sales.

This bill has more than 200 co-sponsors, including over a dozen Republicans. Arizonans are counting on you to show your leadership and join the growing list of lawmakers who support this overwhelmingly popular, common-sense legislation.

As an Arizona resident, I'm thankful that you opposed H.R. 38, so called “concealed carry reciprocity,” and am counting on you to hear our call to action and co-sponsor H.R. 4240. We need you to show your support for a critical bipartisan solution to help prevent gun violence in our communities.
