When a gun can be accessed in a domestic violence situation, a woman is five times more likely to die. For survivors of domestic violence, it's literally a matter of life and death. Lawmakers must act NOW to prevent more deaths by domestic abusers, and this begins with keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.

It's just common sense: Domestic abusers should be prohibited from possessing a gun and required to turn in the guns they already have before they do more harm.
