We need Senator James Lankford to stand up for public safety and OPPOSE a dangerous gun bill awaiting a vote in the U.S. Senate that would gut state concealed carry standards. Email Sen. Lankford urging him to say NO to “concealed carry reciprocity.
Dear Senator Lankford,
As a constituent concerned with gun violence in our country, I urge you to please vote no on the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, S. 446, and any other form of "concealed carry reciprocity."
Governor Mary Fallin took action last week to prevent gun violence in Oklahoma when she vetoed SB 1212, a dangerous bill that would have allowed people, including those with dangerous histories, to carry loaded guns in public with no permit, no background check, and no safety training. I ask you now to take action and vote no on federal "concealed carry reciprocity," since it would override critical state gun safety laws across the country, taking control away from the state and local officials protecting public safety in their states.
Governor Fallin stood with law enforcement when she vetoed this bill, because it would have made their jobs more difficult. And she stood with Oklahomans. Please stand with Oklahomans and law enforcement and vote no on "concealed carry reciprocity," including S. 446.
