Everytown for Gun Safety

Send A Message: Tell Your Senators To Vote Yes On The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act

We can't let our U.S. senators look away from our tragic reality: Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and teens in this country.

We don't have to live like this—and we don't have to die like this.

A bipartisan group of U.S. senators have come to an agreement on a gun safety, mental health, and school safety bill that can help prevent gun violence. If made into law, it would help keep guns out of the wrong hands and would provide critical support to states and local communities working to intervene in this crisis. It would also be the country's first major gun safety law in over 25 years.

We need to hold our lawmakers accountable and demand action.

Tell your U.S. senators: Vote yes on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act!

Dear Senator,

As your constituent, I urge you to vote yes on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, a life-saving bill that addresses gun safety, mental health, and school safety.

The mass shooting at Robb Elementary School, in which 19 children and two adults were murdered, was another instance of the tragic gun violence we witness in America all too often.

As an elected official, it is your job to take action to prevent these senseless tragedies from happening. It is past time that the Senate take bold action to protect our communities. That starts with urgently passing the common-sense gun safety, mental health, and school safety legislation that was just released.

We cannot wait for more lives to be lost to take action. Please do the right thing—vote yes on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
