Everytown for Gun Safety

Make A Pledge: Fight with us to end gun violence in 2019

After the shooting at Sandy Hook, Congress had a chance to enact a comprehensive background checks bill to help prevent future tragedies. But NRA-backed politicians blocked it. And in the six years since Sandy Hook, a pattern has emerged after incidents of gun violence, such as mass shootings: we mourn, politicians offer platitudes while the gun lobby impedes progress, time passes, and nothing gets done. But in the 2018 midterm elections, Americans elected a new wave of leaders — leaders who will help break the pattern of inaction to prevent gun violence.

And now we have the momentum. We have gun sense majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives and in state houses across the country. We're going to promote a comprehensive gun safety agenda that will keep our communities safe starting with a strong background checks bill when the new Congress convenes in January. In 2019, we're going to keep up the fight to end gun violence, and we're going to need your continued support:

Make a pledge to stand and fight with us in 2019.
