As an Alabama citizen concerned with the safety of my family and my community, I urge you to please oppose dangerous bills that would undermine public safety in our state like HB 414 and SB 24.
Dismantling our state's concealed carry permitting system would strip law enforcement of the ability to stop people known to pose a threat to public safety from carrying hidden, loaded guns in public places and in vehicles. Law enforcement in Alabama overwhelmingly opposes permitless carry because they know it would make it harder for them to keep us safe.
I respectfully urge you to make the safety of your constituents your top priority. Stand with law enforcement and help prevent gun violence in Alabama by rejecting permitless carry.
