The U.S. Senate will soon vote on the confirmation of David Chipman to be the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
To truly end gun violence, we need someone like him leading the ATF.
Chipman is a gun owner, father, and decorated law enforcement official who served as a special agent for the ATF for 25 years. As an agent, Chipman spent his career in service of the ATF's mission of enforcing firearms and explosives laws that protect communities from people perpetuating violence and criminal activities, investigating acts of terrorism, and combating illegal gun trafficking. He is currently a senior advisor for Giffords, and formerly a member of the Everytown advisory council and a senior advisor at Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
Confirming David Chipman as the head of the ATF would help save lives.

Dear Senator,
As your constituent, I urge you to vote to confirm David Chipman as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The ATF has a critical role to play in enforcing firearms laws that protect communities from gun violence and criminal activities, investigating acts of terrorism, and combating illegal gun trafficking, but the agency has not had a confirmed director since 2015. David Chipman is uniquely qualified to lead the ATF as a gun owner, gun safety expert, and decorated law enforcement official who served as a special agent at the ATF for more than 25 years. David Chipman is the right person to lead the ATF and I urge you to vote yes on his confirmation.
