Everytown for Gun Safety

ADD YOUR NAME: Ruger Must Listen to its Shareholders and Conduct a Human Rights Impact Assessment

Gun manufacturer Sturm, Ruger & Company (known simply as "Ruger") will hold their annual shareholder meeting soon and they need to hear from us. During the company’s 2022 annual shareholder meeting, 68% of voting shares voted for Ruger to conduct a human rights impact assessment of their products, but they have yet to fully commit to doing one.

Ruger is the second-largest gun maker in the United States. The company produces handguns and rifles. Their AR-15s were used by mass shooters in Sutherland Springs and Boulder. One of the company's AR-10–style rifles was also recovered from the Las Vegas shooter's hotel rooms.

While guns are the number one killer of kids, teens, and college-aged youth in America, Ruger has capitalized and profited on the popularity of AR-15s and other military–style assault weapons.

Add your name to demand Ruger follow through with a thorough human rights impact assessment of their products and take accountability for the harm they cause in our communities >>
