Everytown for Gun Safety

Urge Indiana Governor Holcomb to VETO permitless carry!

HB 1296 would get rid of Indiana's permitting system, allowing anyone who can legally possess firearms to carry hidden, loaded guns in public with no permit and no questions asked.

There is no reason to gut our state's permitting system. Law enforcement leaders, Moms Demand Action volunteers, and Indiana residents have all voiced their opposition to this bill. Governor Holcomb should listen to his constituents and veto it.

Send the following message urging Gov. Holcomb to VETO permitless carry:

Dear Governor Holcomb,

I'm one of your Indiana constituents and I'm urging you to veto permitless carry bill HB 1296.

Law enforcement officers, community leaders, and Indiana residents like me have voiced their strong opposition to permitless carry. Gutting our state's permitting system will only put your constituents in danger. It will make law enforcement's jobs harder—permitless carry laws strip away a critical tool they use to differentiate between responsible gun owners and those who are prohibited from carrying a loaded weapon in public.

We all deserve to feel safe in Indiana. Please listen to your law enforcement agencies, responsible gun owners, and children and families of Indiana: Veto permitless carry.
