There are THIRTEEN gun safety bills headed to Governor Newsom's desk and he could sign them into law!
This is incredible news—but we need to make sure he signs every last one: especially the Gun Violence Prevention and School Safety Act. It's a first-in-the-nation bill to create a permanent funding source for life-saving gun violence prevention and school safety programs with a modest tax on firearm industry profits.

This legislation expands California’s toolbox to comprehensively respond to the public health, safety, and equity crisis of gun violence, the leading cause of death for American children today. Gun violence prevention advocates like me are thrilled that we are just one signature away from creating a permanent funding source for gun violence prevention and school safety efforts.
