Every year nearly 360 children under the age of 18 gain access to a firearm and unintentionally shoot themselves or someone else—but Georgia's Gun Safety Laws still haven't changed and continue to be a national failure.
That's why this year, Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action volunteers are pushing our legislators to take significant steps to improve secure gun storage in our state.
Make your voice heard, and send a message to your Georgia Lawmakers urging them to pass critical secure storage legislation >>
Dear Lawmaker,
Every year nearly 360 children under the age of 18 in the United States gain access to a firearm and unintentionally shoot themselves or someone else.
Securely storing firearms has the ability to prevent both these unintentionally shootings and guns falling into the hands of criminals via theft.
I am asking you, as a constituent, to please help protect Georgians by supporting the following legislation:
- SB 53, Secure Storage Public Education
- HB 207, Secure Storage in Cars
- HB 01, Child Access Prevention
- HB 79, Tax Credit for Secure Storage Devices
Please, keep our communities safe!
Thank You,
