Dear Lawmaker,
I want you to vote yes on the Gun Violence Prevention bill package, which would make our communities safer here in New Jersey.
Several of these bills will establish and create a funding stream for preventative programs for the people most at risk of being involved in gun violence to stem violence before it happens and interrupt the cycle of violence in the long-term. Other bills will strengthen NJ’s purchase permitting system, enhance recordkeeping requirements for firearms and ammunition, deter straw purchasers, and expand the types of criminal convictions that disqualifying someone from purchasing or possessing a firearm.
