Please join us to kick off SMART week as we focus on the importance of secure gun storage in homes and vehicles, modeling responsible behavior around guns, asking about gun storage before sending a child to another home, recognizing the role of guns in suicide, and feeling empowered to share this message in our community as we work to end gun violence. We will hear from our Dallas Be SMART for Kids lead, Mary Cary Peterson, and from our partner at Giffords Gun Owners for Safety, Scott Spreier. We are mothers and others and all are welcome to this safe space as we work to keep our communities safe for everyone.
