Everytown for Gun Safety

Tell Falls Church City Council: We Need Local Gun Safety

The Falls Church City Council is taking action to prevent gun violence. But their inboxes are being flooded with anti-gun-control messages from all over the state.

Our local leaders need to hear from constituents that we need a local ordinance prohibiting individuals from bringing firearms into sensitive places like parks and community centers, as well as city buildings and city-organized events.

Add your name to a petition calling for the Falls Church City Council to pass a local gun safety ordinance before they vote on August 10 >>

As the Falls Church City Council, you have the opportunity to prevent gun violence in our city. We, your constituents, are urging you to pass a local gun safety ordinance to keep our community safe.

In the past year, Virginians like us have proven our broad support for common-sense gun safety laws. We elected a Gun Sense Majority to our statehouse and now local leaders like you can pass an ordinance that would prohibit individuals from bringing firearms into sensitive places like parks and community centers, as well as city buildings and events.

No one should have to worry about a concealed firearm when they take their kids to a playground or attend a parade. Allowing guns into parks where children play or at crowded demonstrations puts us all at risk.

So please vote yes to a local gun safety ordinance on August 10.
