Chili’s and Sonic: Create Gun Sense Policies in Stores

Guns in Sonic

Gun extremists armed with semiautomatic rifles walked into locations of both Chili’s and Sonic this week, scaring some customers and prompting both restaurants to consider significant policy changes.

Families going out to dinner shouldn’t feel threatened by other customers walking around with loaded rifles. Let’s tell Chili’s and Sonic that we support gun sense policies that keep their restaurants safe.

While it’s legal in a majority of states for virtually anyone to openly carry around loaded weapons without any permits, training, or background checks, it’s also extremely dangerous. Chipotle, Starbucks, and Jack in the Box have already responded to petitions from moms and other gun sense supporters asking to the stores not to allow guns.

Sign the petition on the right to automatically send a message to Chili’s and Sonic asking the companies to create gun sense policies for their stores.
